TigerText Extends Capabilities of Salesforce Health Cloud with Secure Messaging App

TigerText participates as Salesforce Health Cloud launch partner, integrating its secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging to streamline communications across the care continuum

TigerText, the secure communications leader in healthcare, today announced it is extending the capabilities of Salesforce Health Cloud with the integration of its secure messaging app. Salesforce Health Cloud customers will now be able to embed the TigerText messaging service in their Health Cloud portals, empowering clinical staff to conduct HIPAA-compliant conversations for streamlined care coordination and patient handoffs.

Underpinning this integration is the TigerConnect platform, launched last year by TigerText. “With six years of deep expertise enabling efficient, secure communications in healthcare, we saw a need for an integrated solution that partners could leverage to augment their existing care coordination tools without wasting valuable developer resources building it in-house,” said Itamar Kandel, President of TigerConnect. “By working with Salesforce, we have the power to effect massive and much-needed change across the healthcare industry.”

“We live in the age of the customer, and patients now expect personalized and engaging experiences with their healthcare providers,” said Joshua Newman, MD, chief medical officer, GM, Salesforce Healthcare and Life Sciences. “Health Cloud is all about building stronger patient relationships, and TigerText is a valuable part of our journey towards creating a modern healthcare platform for patients, doctors, and everyone else involved in care.”

The Core of Effective Care Delivery: Communication

Effective and timely team communication is a key factor in coordinating care efforts across teams, reducing patient wait times, improving discharge processes and ultimately driving down costs. TigerText for Health Cloud will allow caregivers to:

  • Communicate instantly and securely with members of the care team
  • Assign tasks to team members
  • Clarify orders or procedures
  • Quickly resolve billing issues
  • See when messages are delivered and read
  • Archive messages for future reference
